Beer Server Position
Status: Part-Time, average 6 hours per shift.
Shifts looking to fill: Friday/Saturday Opening 11am-5pm, Sunday 12pm-6:30pm
Wage: $14/hr plus tips
About Us
Humble Roots Beer Project is a community-driven craft brewery and taproom built on creativity, quality, and connection to our community. We care about good beer, good people, and creating a welcoming space where everyone feels at home. We’re looking for friendly, reliable beer servers to join our taproom team and steward a positive experience to every guest who walks through our doors.
Responsibilities
Guest Experience
Greet customers warmly and guide them through our beer, draft cocktail, and other beverage lineups
Provide informed drink recommendations per customer tastes
Interact and engage with customers beyond the “transaction”
Maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment for guests of all backgrounds
Taproom Operations
Operate POS systems and handle cash/card transactions accurately
Serve customers proper pours of beverages we sell
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe taproom environment
Restock glassware, merchandise, and inventory as needed
Keep the front of house, bar area, and service stations clean and sanitary
Follow responsible State of Alaska alcohol service practices at all times
General Support
Assist with event setup and taproom activities when needed
Ensure smooth customer flow by efficiently managing tasks
Communicate clearly with fellow staff and management
Represent the Humble Roots brand with positivity and professionalism

Previous experience in hospitality, bartending, or customer service is helpful — but not required. A strong work ethic and positive attitude matter most.
Requirements
Must be 21 or older
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to ~35 lbs
Availability for potential shift coverage opportunities including evenings and weekends
Currently possess or the ability to acquire TAPS certification within 30 days of employment date
